We're in the Media!
Our craftsmanship has contributed to a variety of distinguished projects, working with organisations including RMBC, Pennine Heritage and Ian Simpson Architects. From contemporary architectural features to the careful restoration of listed buildings, our work reflects the versatility and skill behind JHS Stone Specialists.
We're proud to have our work recognised and featured in the media. Each project represents an opportunity to showcase our dedication to traditional stonemasonry and the exceptional results that can be achieved with natural stone.
Memorial Flags
In January 2014, we were entrusted with carving four commemorative stone flags for the Memorial Garden in the heart of Heywood, marking the centenary of the First World War.
Completed over eight weeks, each flag was carefully carved and finished with a specialist protective paint designed to preserve its appearance for over 20 years. It was a genuine honour to contribute to such a meaningful tribute, creating a lasting symbol of remembrance for the local community.

Ian Simpson the Architect
Renowned architect Ian Simpson, the visionary behind Manchester's iconic Beetham Tower, home to the Hilton Hotel, approached us to create a bespoke stone sculpture for his penthouse apartment.
Situated at the summit of the 47-storey skyscraper, the residence offered a spectacular setting for a striking yet understated piece. Designed to complement its remarkable surroundings, the finished sculpture brings an individual artistic touch to one of Manchester's most recognisable landmarks.
